Training....Training....Training!!!

We are flying into Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on the east coast of Africa, which borders the Indian Ocean.  We trained the councils here on July 13-14-15.
This is the training of Dar District Public Affairs Councils.
More Training.......

Just as we got to the chapel in Dar to give our sacrament meeting talks, we saw these darling kids, all spick and span, walking down the drive way with their scriptures.  I've been here over nine months, but this kind of sight still takes my breath away. I'm so grateful they have the gospel. Look how happy they are.
The kids, (and the adults !) looking at the video that Betterman took of them walking down the driveway.
Betterman and kids....

Coming home from Dar es Salaam, this is the top of Mnt. Kilamanjaro.  This was also right when Solomon was suffering his stroke.....we were about 20 min. from Nairobi.....it was a long long 20 min.

These are pictures of our training in Johannesburg during the first week of August.  We were told, and taught, about opening up our own Website in Kenya.  Only four countries in So. East Africa were chosen and Kenya is one of those.  Uganda, So. Africa and Zimbabwe are the other three.  Will let you know the web address as soon as we go live, then you can click on and see what we are doing in Kenya.  We have to have six stories up at all times, with a brand new story each week!!...(pant pant)....check out one of our banners in the left-hand corner of the room.  So. Africa liked them so much they had some of their own made up!!!
Three days of training in Jo-burg!

Susan Roberts, Me, Kay Hatch.  We first met way last August  in Salt Lake when we began our training for Public Affairs.  Susan and Kay are serving in Johannesburg.  It was so good to see them again.  We had fun comparing notes!!

This is Romie, one of the trainers from SL on Dad's right, and Betterman on Dad's left....busy learning our new "stuff".
More training from David........
Entire group that was trained...missionaries and trainers!
