More pictures from Christmas time!

These are pictures I didn't put on the blog at
Christmas time....... I wanted you to see more
of the Orphanage and school.......This is a picture
Stephen and his family....except the little girl in
pink...she is a student..........

This is Elder Hall, they loved this!! Of course you
know who won!!!
The kids loved this!! They had never done anything
like it! We left the bags for them. The school is
in the background!

This picture is actually about an hour after the
two pictures below....the story follows.....

I noticed this little girl standing all alone, watching the
older girls dance. I went over to her, picked her up and
took her back to where I was sitting.....

...... I held her tight and hugged her and silently
wept for all of the children in the world who are
all alone. It was very hard for about an hour.....

The girls chose dad to dance with them!!!

The older girls had made up songs and dances
just for us.
I wanted you to see this big sister who carried
her baby sister around all day...there are children
raising children.....this was hard for me to see.

Inside the school.
This is just after we arrived at the school. Dad
is talking to the kids......kinda getting them used
to us....they don't see mazungas very often.

These are some of Stephen's kids...
This little boy started running along side our truck.
He was jumping over rocks, and ditches and steps and
all kinds of obstacles, but he kept up with us!!

He finally stopped running and waved good bye to us.
That is a pile of charcoal. They cook right on it. You
can imagine the air they little ones breathe all day long.

........More children on the way to Stephens's School.
The children are always the bright spot in your day.
Even in the slums they seems happy. When they
see Mazungus (Ma-zoong-oos) white people, they
usually say ..hal-ew hal- ew, or fine, fine, fine!!!

It isn't easy being a donkey in the slums of Nairobi.

Your local furniture store!! On the way to Stephens
Orphanage.
